Tate Posey, DVM, Practice Owner & Chief of Medicine
I was born in 1960 to a military family in Germany. My interest in animals started at an early age and has grown constantly. I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian as early as I was able to say the word. I chose to attend Kansas State University because of my family roots, and I graduated in 1987.
My career started in 1987 at a practice in Dodge City, Kansas and I eventually landed in Palm Beach Gardens FL where I now own the Promenade Animal Hospital. I have practiced there since 1991. I have enjoyed building a pet and service oriented practice using advanced technology as endoscopy and CO2 lasers, and ancient techniques as acupuncture.
I am a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, Palm Beach Veterinary Society, Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, and the Palm Beach Business Associates.
Kelley Raver, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Before moving to Florida, I spent my entire life in the state of Ohio where I perfected the art of being a perpetual student at The Ohio State University. Happily, I did manage to earn three degrees for my efforts, the last being from the College of Veterinary Medicine, in 2001. My choice in careers had no one defining moment, bit rather stemmed from a well -rounded base of education and experiences.
My husband and I now call West Palm Beach our home, though our families still reside in Columbus, Ohio. We live with “the boys,” Dakota, our German shepherd, and Snowshoe, our Siberian husky, while the background noise is filled with a Cockatoo, an African Gray, and three Macaws.
Outside of my devotion to veterinary medicine my spare time is filled with swimming, running, tennis, reading, and writing romance novels, but dinner and a movie with my husband will always hold a special place in my heart.
Emily Morris, Receptionist
I Began working at Promenade Animal Hospital in the fall of 2005. In 1997, I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism. My decision to work at the veterinary hospital was mostly based on my love from my two dogs. Henley, a shepherd mix was rescued from an abusive situation as a puppy in 1999. I adopted min at two months old and have spoiled him ever since. A year and a half later, I fell for another puppy that was lucky enough to be saved after being abandoned. Her name is Brett and she is an interesting mix of pug and pit bull. I have a lot of respect and admiration for those who care for animals and who understand how much they are cherished by their owners. I am delighted to be part of a team that is so dedicated to the well being of animals.
Nicki Wohlleben, Technician Assistant
I was born and raised in New Jersey till March of 2005. There has not been a single moment in my life without a pet. I have owned birds, dogs, rabbits, fish and a gerbil. In July of 2004 I bought my first purebred cat, Kato, a male Devon Rex. Animals are my world.
Once I moved to Florida I worked at a dog day care and boarding facility. Wanting to learn more I found a position with the Promenade Animal Hospital. Every day I learn something new and I love working with all the different animals that we get to help in our office.
Amber Lacinak, Technician
Hello! My name is Amber Lacinak; I have been working at Promenade
Animal Hospital as a tech asst. since 2001. My high interest of the growing technology
in the veterinary field is what inspired me to work here at Promenade.
I have two cats (Trinity & Sterling), two dogs (Maximus & Samson), a gecko (Mickie), and a king snake (D.C.). I am currently going to school to obtain my LMT (licensed massage therapist) and aesthetician degrees, hopefully one day I will be able to combine my love for animals with my knowledge of massage for post surgical treatment and rehabilitation.
Marie Bethke, Receptionist
My name is Marie. I started working at Promenade Animal Hospital the end of August 2004. Previously, I worked in Human Resources for over 6 years. After all that stress and long hours I was ready to do something fun. My husband Bruce and I moved to Palm Beach County in 1979. We have two sons Rob and Dan, now both out of college. We have two animals, Clancy our yellow lab and Sylvester (also known as Boo) a gray and white Persian. They are both extremely spoiled. I am know as “The Cookie Lady” at work because of my propensity to give your dog or cat more than their fair share of treats and attention.
Phil Pizzo, Kennel Tech
Hello, my name is Phil. I have been employed with Promenade Animal Hospital since May 2000. I was born in Brooklyn New York and have lived in such places as New Orleans, Cape Cod, Phoenix and Hollywood California before settling in Palm Beach Gardens. I live with my Shetland sheep dog Sebastian as well as many other dogs and cats shared with my roommate who also works at a veterinary hospital. My mission while working with Dr, Posey is to provide care, comfort and camaraderie to the patients that enter our doors.
Star Bouchard, Receptionist
I joined Promenade Animal Hospital in March of 2004. It has proven to be a very interesting and educational work environment. I enjoy the day-to-day interaction with our clients and their pets. Before coming to work for Dr. Posey, I worked as a finance manager for a security company in Flint Michigan for 4 years. I now reside in Florida with my husband and daughter, our second child is due September of 2004. The other member of our household is our grey tabby Rascal, who has allowed us to share his home for the past six years. Working with animals has always been something I wanted to do and I feel very blessed to work such a caring and professional animal hospital. |
